Energy Saving Measures For Transformers

(1) Selecting high-quality materials to manufacture transformers
Transformers change the network voltage through electromagnetic induction, mainly made of silicon steel sheets and electromagnetic wires. The quality of these two materials directly affects the loss characteristics of transformers. The loss formed by the iron core of the transformer during operation is commonly referred to as no-load loss, and the loss value is constant, unrelated to the load rate of the transformer, and is also inevitable. But the quality of magnetic materials can change the magnitude of their losses. The first generation of energy-saving transformers selected high-quality Q11 and Q10 cold rolled grain oriented silicon steel sheets, eliminated hot rolled D44 and other silicon steel sheets, and combined with structural design improvements, reduced no-load torque loss by 40%.
(2) Optimize design and improve process
Improving the loss characteristics of transformers through structural design and manufacturing processes is the main research topic for manufacturers. The application of electronic computers in transformer design has opened up broad prospects for design work, and can achieve the design goals of minimizing losses and copper iron consumption at the ideal ratio of copper (electromagnetic wire) to iron (silicon steel sheet). Intersect high-quality materials and optimized design curves at one point to achieve optimal results. The change of the iron core structure from direct seams to semi straight, semi inclined, and fully inclined seams is a breakthrough improvement in structural design, which can ease the magnetic conductivity direction of grain oriented silicon steel sheets (currently widely used Q10 and Q11) in the iron core seam area and reduce no-load losses.
