Flat Wave Reactor

An electrical device used in a rectified DC circuit is called a flat wave reactor. There is always a ripple in the output straightening voltage and a finite number of pulses in the rectifier circuit. Since this ripple is frequently dangerous, a flat-wave reactor is required to reduce it. On the DC side of the HVDC converter station, the DC filter and the flat wave reactor combine to generate the DC harmonic filter loop. One of the key components of the high-voltage DC converter station is a flat wave reactor, which is typically linked in series between the DC output end of each pole converter and the DC line.

In order to optimize the output tributary waveform, suppress the ripple pulsation component after rectification, make the current after rectification continuous, and guarantee the regular functioning of DC equipment, the rectifier circuit uses a flat wave reactor.
