The most primitive inductor was the iron core coil used by M. Faraday in 1831 in England to discover the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction. In 1832, J. Henry of the United States published a paper on the phenomenon of self induction. People refer to the unit of inductance as Henry, abbreviated as Henry. In the mid-19th century, inductors were widely used in devices such as telegrams and telephones. The inductors used in experiments by H.R. Hertz in Germany in 1887 and N. Tesla in the United States in 1890 are both very famous, known as Hertz coils and Tesla coils, respectively.
